My sister-in-law emailed me yesterday asking for Graeme's latest sizes. She also requested some information on pagan holidays so that she can reciprocate the well wishes that I give her on hers.

There is something extraordinary about this past year of my life, my "thirty" if not exactly my "thirties". I am happy. I am settling into a sense of comfort and mature self-confidence where I can be myself and not have to hide my minority beliefs nor do I have to apologize for having them.

I've sounded the depths, so to speak, of my own mortality and I've come to appreciate how fast and brief my life will be. And wonderful, so exquisitely wonderful. This is it and now I've just got to relish the rich experiences as I come into my own, as my son sprouts up, as my relationships mellow and refine themselves.

I'm awash in gratitude, happiness, a wistful yearning that is all part and parcel of my embodied experience. I almost don't want to sleep, don't want to miss any of it. :)

glad you have a supportive family. man i have been gone from LJ too long, I didn't know you had a son. I too have a son now, his name is Bryce and he's 4 months old. Congratulations on your son!
