It is a long-armed self-portrait of me, my husband, and my son that we took laying in a giant pile of leaves at the Morton Arboretum this fall. We were having the most perfect day and finding that ocean of leaves to swim in was more fun than anything I could have imagined. I love the photo because it captures us all mid-laugh, mid-roll, and is a perfect little square window into our family life together. :)
2. What's your current relationship status?
On March 5th, we'll be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. :)
3. Ever have a near-death experience?
Not in the go-towards-the-light sense. I did come very near to drowning at the beach once when I got sucked into a current and repeatedly rolled, scraped, and bashed into some rocks. Luckily I held my breath long enough to get tossed back to shore. I'm not so keen on swimming in the ocean anymore. :)
4. Name an obvious quality you have.
The "obvious" makes this a hard question! I think it is most obvious that I am nice. I hold doors open, I chat with all my cashiers and service people, I give up my seat on the bus. That's probably outwardly what I look like. I'm also shy but not everyone sees that.
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
The Little Einsteins theme song. "We're going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship, lala through the skies! Little Einsteins! Climb aboard, we're ready to explore.....nanananana Little Einsteins!"
6. Name a celebrity you would marry.
Jeff Probst. He's unbearably cute, comes across as a very nice guy, lives an interesting lifestyle, and doesn't seem to be too caught up in Hollywood drama.
7. Who will cut and paste this first?
?
8. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
Back in the curly redhead Tom Cruise days, I would get comparisons to Nicole Kidman. We're both tall, built similarly, and so white we're see-through. :D
9. Do you wear a watch? What kind?
Yes. I have a super cute pink plastic digital with silver-pink numbers...um, a Casio Baby-G. It's girly and rugged and has a light.
10. Do you have anything pierced?
Nothing! Not even my ears are pierced.
11. Do you have any tattoos?
Nope. :)
12. Do you like pain?
No, but I have a high pain tolerance. I like being bitten but that's not the same as liking pain.
13. Do you like to shop?
Yes! I love thrift store shopping with a passion. It satisfies some deep hunter/gatherer instinct in me to search through piles and piles of things for the chance of finding one thing worth keeping. I don't do much normal shopping, though. I hate paying full price. :D
14. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
67 pairs of pajamas. ;)
15. What was the last thing you paid for with your credit debit card?
Postage to mail boxes of Yule gifts.
16. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
rubymulligan
17. What is on your desktop background?
The night sky.
18. What is the background on your cell phone?
Daniel and I from several years ago.
19. Do you like redheads?
How is this a question? I *love* redheads. I'm not sexually attracted to redheaded boys, because they all look like my brother, but I *love* redheads. Nothing turns my head faster. :)
20. Do you know any twins?
Not personally, no.
21. Do you have any weird relatives?
Yes. To them, I'm probably one of the "weird" family members, too. ;)
22. What was the last movie you watched?
Dora's Christmas Carol
23. What was the last book you read?
Wind Spell, the third of four books in Mallory Loehr's The Magic Elements Quartet, written for grades 3-5 and super, duper pagan. :D
