~The pink spray roses I bought myself are opening up in the softest, most exquisite ways. I'm trying to soak in the perfection of them before they start to drop petals and wither away.

~Yesterday, I spent the morning at the hospital having some pre-operative testing and finalizing my paperwork for next week's surgery. I got a little more detail on that, too. Monday, I'm admitted to the hospital at 10am and getting a percutaneous nephrostomy. On Tuesday, the day of my big kidney stone removal, I'm having a percutaneous nephrolithotomy. So, if you are a medical buff or just like the nitty-gritty details, there you go. :) The pre-op stuff went well. Recognizing that so much of my medical phobia is about losing control and resisting change, I went in as mindful as I could be about where my squirrely mind was trying to take me. It was chill, to be honest, and in some ways kinda fun. Without a doubt, every person I met along the way at the hospital was so dear and wonderful. I need to just trust them and let them take care of me. So yeah, a good test run for me.

~Daniel is out of town until Wednesday night, I fly out to Diana's Grove on Thursday morning, and then when I get home on Sunday night I'll have time to sleep fast, say "hey" to my Mom who'll have arrived from Florida, and then get up and shuttle myself and my little hospital bag to the hospital. Not much time to prepare or worry about anything! :)

~I'm still hard-at-work on my natal chart readings for people. I'm almost finished with my third and have another three on the list to be done. I'm considering bringing my notes and charts into the hospital with me, but I'm not sure how much work I could realistically get done on them. We'll see! :)

I would say... maybe incorrectly, but maybe you need all your hospital stay energy for yourself, and not other people? I don't know if you'll need to distract yourself or not, but if you don't, and if you can stay pretty chill, maybe you can give yourself the compassion that Pink is asking you to, by giving yourself permission to just rest and heal?

I could be way off, though.

And wow, anything with that many syllables is an intense medical procedure!

Oh, I just thought of something Skype could be very useful for. Doing readings or even rituals with far away friends :) Not sure if it has a 'conference call' setting so more than 2 people could be on the same call, but if it does, then it is even better for long distance ritual :D

I will have to look into this new technology, lol.

I'm so glad your hospital visit was a positive experience. I think going to Diana's Grove right before the surgery will help you so much, too. *love*

*facepalms* Not a playtime journal. Hi. That was me.

Another curious question. I was telling the girls at the Reiki Master class with me about my Witches Star's write-up and I've been asked to relay to you some people might be interested in getting these, and wanted to know if the offer was open still (/open to people you don't know)?

OMG! EDWARD!!!!!

Oh, Amanda. Hi there. *pats hair* Ahem. Okay. :D

(I got your package the other day with the kitchen witch. I absolutely adore her! Thank you. That made my day. :))

I am happy to continue doing them, but I think I should wait until after my surgery and can give a better time estimate for how long it'll take me to complete them. But yes, absolutely, I'm getting a lot of joy out of it and am just as content to read for someone I don't know as someone I do.

You know, it is probably *your* reading that's in question. :D I'm open to working on it, or not, depending on how I feel. On the one hand, I might be loopier than you want me to be for clarity's sake but on the other, it would feel nice to be doing something so outside myself while inside of myself is feeling so cut up! I won't do it out of guilt or pressure--just waiting to see how the recovery is. :)

But, you know, I'm great at giving and terrible at receiving, and it sounds like you're already onto me.

Since yours was my first, I realized I don't know. Did you not have video of me because I didn't turn it on somehow? Or is that something you do/choose on your end? Because I could see you on video! Educate me. :D

I think so, too. No other place gives me such an awakened sense of perspective. I could use that 'big picture' mentality going into surgery.

Heh, well I am more than happy to wait, for as long as it needs to wait (i.e. including significant recovery time at home after the surgery). So while I'm excited to get it, I am more than happy to wait for you to do some kidney healing! *smiles*

As you say, it'll just depend? I know in some hospital stays I've needed all my recovery for the procedure. And in others I started going stir crazy within a few hours of waking up. So it just depends, I guess!

When you start up or even during a call (I believe) you can calibrate your video and sound. It basically runs a test for you. I think you can do the 'echo call' and that helps you to set up both.

I am still working through learning more about it. I might have to ask my sister-in-law because she has been using it forever, especially since her husband was deployed to Afghanistan.

I really hope it all goes well and you get the relief you need and deserve. I've been MIA lately as work has been crazy, but you're still in my thoughts and prayers. Sending many healing wishes your way.

Sending you lots and lots of healing and positive thoughts.

I agree that you should probably conserve your energy for your own healing, rather than expending it on others right now. Maybe there's something in this surgery falling into your Pink month?
