Glamourkins I Bought

The second monthly batch of pendants for the 1000 Glamourkins project was posted yesterday and I arrived home from the airport, just in time to snag these beauties. My intention with this is to hang them, with gold sparkling ribbon, amongst the other ornaments on my Yule tree. They're about magick, belief, and that dark winter's faith that gets me through both the physical and metaphorical winters in my life. I know the Light comes. I trust the cold, the dark times. The seeds must rest.

I was looking at the pictures on Flicker and then several of the ones I loved most sold like the second they were listed so I never even saw the listing. Which is just as well really as my "check engine" light just came on again... Anyway, I can't imagine more beautiful decorations for a Yule tree. This last update was just exquisite and inspirational. So many of the pendants just seemed soaked in love and richness.

I almost got the acorn one. You know me and acorns! But those corners get me every time. I nanaged to get only one so far, but the other two I planned on snagging got scooped up instantly. The one I managed to grab that I knew I'd die without: "There is glory in a seed." I guess great minds think alike. And like last Yule, it will go back on my tree with the others. In the meantime, it will go around my neck! :)

Ah ha! I thought it was like some kind of way that people scooped up the pendants we loved before we ever saw the listing... Like the black cat one with the lotus unfolding words! You know, like they had "a corner" on the competition.

I can't look at the flickr anymore or I cry! LOL! The one I wanted most was gone before I even had a chance! (which of course did not prevent me from buying four others! )I love seeing which ones everyone choose and reading about why thy choose them.
