Silver Branch Year

This month, I'm finishing my work on the Silver Branch--Ninth Wave priestess training program. Signing up for something like that, a remote self-directed spiritual delving, provided me with more than I'd hoped for this year. Some months, I explored the theme through journaling, ritual, and scholarship. Other months, when my practice faltered, the themes seemed to have explored me by shaking up my life and steering the appropriate learning lessons into my path. This last month, the theme was about incorporating all that inner work into my outer life. I'm finally completely out of the broom closet, everyone knows, my need for religious secrecy gone--through no action of my own. Just another way for the Universe at large to smile knowingly down on me and say, "You signed up for this."

As part of that unfurling, I'll be opening my journal again. I'll still friends-lock entries I wouldn't want potential stalkers to read, but otherwise I'm going to attempt to courageously stand and be authentic, unapologetic, and open. The scorpio side of me is very uncomfortable with this idea. :) She prefers dark, deep waters. The libra half likes palatable social masks. We'll see how this goes, allowing myself to be vulnerable and perhaps even unlikable.

It has been a remarkable, enriching, exhausting year.

It sounds like such an amazing experience. I really want to try the first course in the coming months.

I too have all kinds of anxiety around the vulnerability in journaling. I don't think you could be unlikable, but it is hard to put ourselves out there in that way.
