The Year of Firsts Meme
Dec. 2nd, 2009 08:21 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
The first sentence (or two) from the first post of each month in 2009. You know how this works. :D Memes and tweets and whatnot don't count.
January
I cut my ties with Full Moon Swaps for New Year's, handing the leadership of it to seven (very capable) volunteers.
February
Tuesday afternoon, I clipped Graeme into his stroller, poured raisins and graham crackers and cereal into the handy food tray, and walked a few miles around my Mom's landscaped neighborhood.
March
I'm still in Florida and mostly internet-less.
April
Holiday venting.
Lying or setting up a prank with the express purpose of making someone look foolish or face public humiliation is cruel--no matter what day of the year it is.
May
Now that Dreamwidth is in Open Beta, I've gotten myself an account there.
June
Waking up this morning, I was actually surprised to realize that I was sleeping in my own bed.
July
Rhiannon, they're apricots. (I'm an idiot. English. Not my best language. ;) )
August
For the fourth(?) year in a row, Daniel and I have adopted a family for Christmas through a local Catholic homeless shelter.
September
Our mother/son Alaskan cruise experiences refuse to be corralled into a linear account.
October
It is October, the most magic and wonderful month of the whole year. (If you ask me.) I am celebrating her return by flipping through back issues of The Blessed Bee, a pagan family newsletter, and enjoying a leisurely breakfast of Ezekial toast, natural peanut butter, and chai spiced apple cider.
November
Daniel, Graeme, and I dressed up and hit the streets for a Halloween party and parade at our neighborhood park. It was freezing, so I had to layer Graeme up in all kinds of socks and tights and leg-warmers and things that I'd hacked off to accommodate his costume.
December
My father's in the hospital again.
