A Witch's Stars: Your Astrological Essence

Overhead, at this moment and every moment since our planet began to spin and circle the Sun, the view is changing. The star constellations of the zodiac are marching across the sky. Somewhere out there, though you may not see them, the planets are tracing their way through the constellations as well. The moon, waxing and waning, rising and setting, moves through the constellations and during the year, so does our star--the Sun. Each of these things produces its own energy, its own moments of directed potential, and every second changes that mixture as each planet migrates and interacts with the dance of every other planet. The view, the geometry of motion around you is entirely dependent upon where on this big, beautiful Earth you happen to be standing. You are not the same as everyone born with the Sun in the same zodiac sign. You are not the same as someone born at the exact day and moment you were, either. Your astrological essence is uniquely yours, complex, and powerful.

You were born into this embodied life and at the moment of your first breath, you inhaled the energies of the planets, the Sun, the Moon mid-dance in the sky--both visible and hidden below the horizon. At that moment, you were blessed with natural abilities and personality traits. As a witch, your first pentacle was traced upon your Soul. Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit were poured into you in varying doses. Your strengths and weaknesses, your elemental allies, a clear path for learning were laid out in that moment, that unique-to-your-birth moment.

Astrology is a study that anyone can undertake. Your birth chart will never change but you could spend a lifetime understanding its impact on you and your personality. You don't need me, though I love the scholarship and intuitive flow of astrology. If you'd like help understanding and interpreting your birth chart, I'll be offering my services throughout the next month or so. For $25 (which goes entirely into my flooring fund for mermaiden and willow_cabin), I'll spend a few weeks with your chart and write up a report on my findings, the common themes, and how that may be affecting you as a witch. I'll include advice on some crystal/plant/animal allies you might want to get to know and others that will offer you more of a growth challenge.

Pete and I are interested! :-) But we have to wait and see how we do at the art show in two weeks.

I can't help with the actual manual labor at Sarah and Jenn's because of my somewhat extreme allergies to both pet dander and chemicals that are usually found in carpet padding, etc. BUT, maybe Pete and I can show up late in the day with a catered dinner for everyone after the messy work is done?

hahaha Fuhget about it already! ;-)

And, for the most part, we're KIND of ready. I WANT to get a few pairs of little kid fairy wings done (they can be worn OR used as wall hangings), and Pete will be doing a lot of matting of art. Our tent comes Thursday, so we're going to practice setting it up Sunday during the day in the yard and play with table arrangement, for which we still need to get fabric to cover. And I REALLY want to try to finish the wings I started that will be similar to the ones Pete wore for the fairy festival to display on my dress form, since I think it will draw people in. I only need a couple of hours, since the structure part is already done, but I don't know what kind of harness I would do. So... short answer is, we've got lots of stuff to sell, but we want to tweak it and make it look more professional looking, and if I can add a few more pieces, I really want to.
