windinthemaplesGraeme was working on some sun-inspired paintings for Yule. I had to cut our conversation off short, as the video was getting too long for Flickr, but I wanted everyone to be able to see him in his natural environs--elbow-deep in paint. :)

I have watched it now and am even more in love.
When I heard you saying "You ARE an artist to him" my heart and eyes got full. How I wish more parents were like that... I could FEEL your words (and your acceptance and love of him) going straight like an arrow deep into his soul. Children that age take things in - so deep.

Date: 2010-12-06 03:20 am (UTC)Thank you! I sure hope not. Daniel and I do our best, every day, to give him everything he needs. Some part of us fears it is too good to last and that we'll need to say everything now, everyday, the now of everyday, just in case we aren't around to say it later.
That sounds grim, but really it just keeps us present. :)
